That would be none other than New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

On Saturday afternoon, the Super Bowl-winning coaching legend was seen working out on the treadmills at Gold’s Gym in Jupiter. There is no rest for a multitasking coach in the offseason: As Belichick worked out, in a Harvard Football T-shirt, he had the treadmill TV on a basketball game, had a computer propped up reviewing football game video and was jotting down notes on a pad, a pencil stuck behind his right ear.

Belichick has been known to visit the area, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft has a home nearby in Palm Beach.

The coach wasn’t the only celeb at Gold’s on Saturday afternoon. Also spotted: Don Brewer, the drummer-singer of Grand Funk Railroad and singer-writer of We’re An American Band, who lives in the area.

Donald Trump: What is “the season” in Palm Beach?

When Donald Trump mentioned his hiring of foreign workers at Mar-A-Lago in Thursday’s debate, viewers not familiar with Palm Beach might have been wondering:

What is “the season”? Aren’t there four of them?

Everywhere but South Florida, where there is only one season that counts. That’s the winter season, roughly October-November to late April, when snowbirds come down from Canada and the northern sections of the United States to thaw out and spend money down here.

Their dollars keeps our tourism-based industry afloat but also causes some consternation with crowded restaurants, more traffic on the roads, etc.

Post writer Barbara Marshall examined our love-hate relationship with snowbirds in “season.”

Oscars 2016: Why is Leonardo DiCaprio wearing an FAU cap?

Leonardo DiCaprio wears FAU ball cap.
Leonardo DiCaprio wore an FAU lid to a game at the Staples Center in May 2009.

On Sunday night, Leonardo DiCaprio is heavily favored to win an Oscar for The Revenant.

Which reminds us of our favorite local bit of Leo lore — the FAU ballcap story. Here’s what Staci Sturrock wrote about it last year:

We were all atwitter Monday afternoon when Florida Atlantic University posted this photo of Leonardo DiCaprio sporting an FAU cap on the school’s Instagram account.

“Thanks for the love, Leo!!!” read the photo caption.

Alas, the photo is six years old. Our reporter Kimberly Miller blogged about it in February 2009.

Turns out, DiCaprio just liked baseball caps and initially wasn’t even sure what “FAU” stood for.

Oh well, file Leo’s hat tip to the Owls under “oldies but goodies.”
