Two weeks ago, we wrote about some of the landmarks around the state of Florida that websites were calling “the most iconic.” We asked our readers to vote on which one they thought was the most iconic and after 162 votes, 44 of them decided that the Disney Castle in Orlando was the best pick.

Our readers agree with Business Insider, which was the only outside website that listed the famed castle in Disney World as the most iconic landmark in the Sunshine State. In second place was other favorite, the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, which took in 19 votes.

It was followed by The Seven Miles Bridge in the Florida Keys with 15 votes, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami with 13 votes, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach with 12 votes, and The Southernmost Point in Key West with 10 votes.

Other facts included:

  • Florida made up 123 voters with 26 percent picking the Disney Castle and 11 percent picking the Kennedy Space Center.
  • Voters 65 and older found the Kennedy Space Center and Southernmost Point to be the top landmarks while voters 55-to-64 favored the Disney Castle and Ponce de Leon Inlet in Daytona Beach.
  • Female voters liked the Disney Castle, Castillo De San Marcos, and Kennedy Space Center while male voters favored the Southernmost Point, Disney Castle, and the Ponce de Leon Inlet.

If you’re looking to go visit the castle, Disney recently issued the prices for their “value days” at $105.
