If you’re looking for a day at the beach, but without all the crowds, two Palm Beach County destinations were listed as two of the best options in the state.
Thrillist compiled a list of the “Best beaches in Florida without crowds” with Palm Beach County’s Juno Beach and John D. MacArthur State Park coming in at numbers four and six. The top ten also included: Caladesi Island State Park, Blowing Rocks Preserve, Captiva Island, Amelia Island, Cayo Costa State Park, Playalinda, Ponte Vedra Beach, and Boca Grande.
According to the list, Juno Beach was ranked highly for its excellent surfing and for being the county’s “most dog-friendly stretch of sand and most densely nested turtle-nesting beach in the world from May through October.” They also recommend visiting the Square Grouper Tiki Bar in Jupiter, which was listed as one of our favorite local beach bars for Spring Break.
John D. MacArthur State Park was favored for its array of animal life with manatees and the zebra longwing butterfly being seen around the territory. The report also remarks that the state park features a two-mile stretch of sand with very few swimmers.
